Examples of polyimide synthesis: High-refractive monomers with a refractive index of 1.7 or higher.

This product "APP" can impart high refractive index to polymers such as polyimide due to the high molecular refractive index and atomic refractive index of the pyridine skeleton and sulfur atom. The polyimide film after polymerization with ODPA (4,4'-Oxydiphthalic Anhydride) has been confirmed to have a high refractive index of 1.7 (measured at a wavelength of 633nm). Applications are anticipated in various optical components such as anti-reflective coatings, optical waveguides, and microlenses.

This benzoxazine has three oxazine rings centered around a benzene ring, and it is expected to exhibit properties such as high heat resistance, flame retardancy, low moisture absorption, low dielectric constant, and low thermal expansion. The "bicyclic vinyl sulfonic compound VSTCD" is a monomer with a tricyclodecane skeleton and two sulfonyl groups. It is a raw material for transparent resins with high refractive index and high Abbe number, such as polythioether sulfon, and is expected to impart properties such as low moisture absorption, high thermal stability, and high Tg (glass transition temperature).
